Outpatient Therapy

Office.jpg

Outpatient therapy is a resource for individuals seeking support for mental health concerns who do not require round-the-clock support or safety monitoring. Therapy is an excellent resource for individuals facing a myriad of challenges ranging from depression or anxiety to trauma- and everything in between. Our licensed staff is trained to work with individuals, couples, and families. Types of therapy our agency offers include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Play Therapy, and more.

Abstract Background

Types of Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). You work with a mental health counselor in a structured way. CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR’s goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Compared to other therapy methods, EMDR is relatively new.

Play Therapy

Through play therapy, children learn to express their thoughts and feelings in appropriate ways, learn about the feelings of others, learn ways of controlling their own behavior, and learn how to solve problems they encounter.
